Carroll Harper was our guest speaker this week. He spoke about Original Medicare, Medicare Supplements and Medicare through Private Health Plans.
 
 
 
Joan Welgoss-Surry School Board Chair, Fred Cole - Surry School Principal & Rotarian Laura Pellerano at Surry School presenting a check for $597.00. This represents first quarter Happy Dollars donation to the Surry Backpack Program.
 
 
Rotarian Irv Hodgkin from The Rotary Club of Ellsworth joins Noontime Rotary President Leann Beal at the 2nd Annual Ellsworth Open House on March 20th to share the community service message of Rotary with guests.  Other Rotarians from our club that attended and helped our table: Tracy Shaffer, Nancy Mayo, Charlene Churchill.  Additional Rotarians helping with the event in other ways which was held at the Ellsworth Public Library: Allegra Pellerano, Gene Pellerano, Jo Cooper and Micki Sumpter.
 
 
Rotarian Jack Frost volunteers his time at the Hancock County 4-H Speaking Tournament!
 
Ellsworth High School Rotary Interact Club and Honor Society volunteers at Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry. They help at the pantry every third Friday of the month!
 
Rotarian Marian Wells volunteering her time at Northern Light Maine Coast Hospital. She was joined by Rotarians March Rich and JoAnn Brown for smiles! 
A fun and informative day for some Rotary Club of Ellsworth members on February 23. A dozen of us gathered for a Rotary orientation and mentoring program at St. Dunstan’s. We are Rotary!!!! #ellsworthrotary

Our club hosted a Rotary Reads event at The Moore Community Center, The Ellsworth Public Library and the Beechland YMCA to help support the Maine-wide focus on reading to our youth on February 19th.  Reading to young children is rewarding and reminds one of the joy in children’s smiles.  #ellsworthrotary

We were pleased to host our second Student of the Month program this week honoring four students from the Hancock County Technical Center. Our guest speaker was Brian Langley and it was another great night partnering with HCTC to recognize and encourage excellence in technical education. #ellsworthrotary
 
Rotarians have been volunteering at Everyboday Eats, The Ellsworth Public Library, Ellsworth YMCA and the Moore Community Center! Great Job! #ellsworthrotary
The Interact Club at Ellsworth High School (EHS) is collecting clean plastic grocery bags for the Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry. Please bring all of your unwanted grocery bags to the next home sporting event and put them in the collection box. You can also drop them off at EHS anytime during the week.
