Opening Ceremonies: Past President Carl Lusby called the meeting to order at 6:00 pm with opening remarks and the pledge of allegiance.
 
Carl thanked Lincoln Ehrlenbach for taking care of Sergeant at Arms duties.

Autumn Gold Pancake Breakfast – Saturday, September 27th from 7am-10am at EEMS. Kelly Brown sent an email out asking for help. We need propane tanks, cooks, etc. Please sign up to help.
 
YMCA Golf Tournament: The YMCA will be holding their Annual Bo Lewis/Charlie Crowley Memorial Golf Tournament at Kebo Valley Golf Center in Bar Harbor this Saturday (9/20). Fellow Rotarian Matt is looking for Volunteers to assist in the following areas:
Registration: 8:30-10:00am. Contest Sales: (50/50 Raffles, Mulligans): 8:30-10:00am
On Course Contests: (Closest to the Pin, Longest Drive, etc.): 9:00-2:30pm. Clean Up: 3:00-4:30pm

Peanut Butter & Jelly Drive: A reminder that we are collecting jars of PB&J at our next Club meeting on 9/23 to donate to the Bangor Savings Bank Food Drive to support local food charities. Please consider donating!
 
Partner Program: To date we have over collected $12,000! Debbie will bring the poster to next week’s meeting for all to see the businesses who have donated.

Happy Dollars–  1st quarter Happy Dollars will be going towards Cody's Closet This is a great opportunity to support children in our Foster Care system in Maine and meet their needs. Several Rotarians shared happy thoughts.
 
Guest Speaker: Dr. Kristen Hayward was our guest speaker this week. She is a board-certified nurse-midwife and the founder of Anchored Women’s Health. She holds an Associate, Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctorate in Nursing and specializes in well-woman care, gynecological concerns and menopause.
 
She brings a strong small-village work ethic to her multi-specialty practice, which offers primary care, physical therapy, lactation consulting, mental health support, lab services and selected procedures. They are located at 710 Bucksport Road in Ellsworth and are accepting new patients!
 
Our club meeting was held at Anchored Women’s Health Center and they provided snacks and drinks for the meeting. Polio Cups: Reminder to donate to Polio! For every $1 donated, 7 children are vaccinated.
 
Next week at Rotary-  Tuesday, September 23rd our meeting will be held at the Moore Community Center. We will be having a Club Assembly.
