Program/Speaker: This week’s guest speaker was Jerilyn Bowers, Director of Public Affairs shared exciting research that is underway at the MDI Biological Laboratory to study animals in an effort to develop new therapies that may one day help humans enhance their natural ability to repair the damage caused by heart attack, diabetes or traumatic injury. She also provided an update on Lab’s $100 million research training program designed to expand Maine’s technically skilled workforce and create high quality jobs throughout the state.
