Jack Frost called the meeting to order.  He welcomed everyone and our guests were State Senator Nicole Grohoski, Grayson Chandler, Mikele Block, and Rebecca Winkler-Barrera.

Our guest speaker is Dr Jolene Driver.
 
Jack thanked Carl Lusby for serving as Sergeant at Arms, Debbie Ehrlenbach for taking notes and Michael Houlsen for managing our technology.
 
Thank you letter from Next Step Domestic Violence was shared. 
 
David Wells presented our club’s fundraiser MoVember to promote awareness of Men’s Health.  All Rotarians can participate, by growing facial hair or “wearing faux facial hair” in support of men’s health.  Donations of $10 to support club members growing facial hair and club members wearing faux facial hair.  Dave circulated the poster board for members to sign up.  All donations will go to Maine Coast Hospital Urology Department.  Club members can mail in donations, clearly marked for MoVember, to support this worthy cause.    The winner of the competition will be selected on December 2nd at our HCTC night.
 
 
Lincoln Ehrlenbach provided an update for the November 15th Annual Food Drive at Hannaford.  The drive runs from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, followed by delivering the food to the pantry. Delivery of the food to the pantry should be finished by 3:00 pm.  Contact Stacie, Peter or Lincoln if you plan to help.  Wednesday, November 5th, we will be doing a live broadcast at Star 97.7 to promote the event.  Hope to see everyone at Hannaford on Saturday, November 15th.
 
Saxon Tinto shared that Ellen Koors will be joining our membership.
 
Jack Frost shared the Gifting Experience will be held Saturday, December 13th 9:30 to noon.  Please contact Jack, Carl, Carol or Ashley if you have questions and or are planning to help.
 
Donations were given to the following organizations:
 
Camp CaPella - Mikele Block and Rebecca Winkler-Barrera representing Camp CaPella received a donation of $500.
 
 
Stanwood Wildlife Sanctuary – Grayson Chandler representing Stanwood Wildlife received a donation of $500.
 
 
Door prizes were won by Debbie, Marian and Dave.
 
The 50/50 drawing of $9 was won by Shelly VanCamp and donated back to the happy dollars cause for this quarter, Next Step Domestic Violence.
 
Happy dollars were collected from many members.
 
Senator Nicole Grohoski presented the club with a recognition from the State of Maine Senate and House of Representatives for our 75 years of service.
 
 
Dr Jolene Driver, Physician Associate at Maine Coast Hospital Urology practice, spoke to the club to kick off our support of Men’s Health awareness month.  She shared with the members the importance of an annual visit to a primary care doctor and having PSA screening. 
 
No meeting next week, in honor of Veteran’s Day. 
 
November 18th, we meet at Poppy and Polka Dot Boutique for a business visit.  Poppy and Polka Dot is located at 97 Main Street in Ellsworth.  Please arrive at 5:30pm for an early meeting start.  Amanda Beals will share her story with us.  See you there to support a local small business.
