Guest Speaker: Dr. Sean Todd of the College of the Atlantic was our guest speaker.

Sean’s presentation was about Right Whales.  Right whales, common visitors to the Gulf of Maine, were so dubbed because of the extraordinary yield of oil and baleen that an individual kill provided.
Some of the same factors that led to their demise as a target of whaling over the past millennium, now continue to plague this species' recovery.  With less than 350 individuals left in the entire world, we are at a pivotal point in this species' history.

Sean provided a brief history and what we can do to help them by using rope-less fishing as a future solution.

Gene reminded everyone about Polio Plus and EREY! Please consider making a donation.

 Respectfully submitted by Ashley Johnson
