Movember: It’s time for the Annual Movember Challenge for Men’s Health. $20 donations. Men grow facial hair and women to have a fake beard or mustache. All donations go towards MCMH.
 
Rotary Blood Drives at the Elks Club: 2nd and 4th Tuesdays from 11am – 5pm. Sign up with Max Dietshe.  Please send all your community service hours to Max!
 
Loaves and Fishes Food Drive at Hannaford: Saturday, November 19th. The sign-up sheet is going around to volunteer. Shifts are 9am-11am, 11am-1pm and 1pm to 3pm.
 
New this year we are adding a challenge! The Ton of Turkey Challenge! We are asking all Rotarians and members of the community to help donate one ton of Turkeys to the Pantry (134 frozen turkeys or two chickens) can be dropped off at any meeting up to November 15th or at the pantry during operating hours. If you live too far away, you can donate $20 and they will count as a turkey. Donations can be mailed to our club’s address at PO Box 741, Ellsworth.
 
Fellowship Update: The Ellsworth Downtown Christmas Parade is Saturday, December 3rd at 4:00pm. New this year is late afternoon and to celebrate with lighted floats! The theme is “Christmas at the Movies” All Rotarians are invited to attend to help out!
 
Club Christmas Party: We are looking for ideas for this year’s Christmas Party. Please send your thoughts to Jodie Cushing.

Diane provided a presentation about “Ten Things You Can do to be more Impactful Philanthropist”

Diane is a member of the Camden Rotary Club and in addition to speaking about women’s philanthropy, she talked about fundraising in general during this post-pandemic environment.
