Our mission: The mission of The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International is to enable Rotarians to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through the improvement of health, the support of education, and the alleviation of poverty.
What impact can one donation have?
  • For as little as 60 cents, a child can be protected from polio.
  • $50 can provide clean water to help fight waterborne illness.
  • $500 can launch an anti-bullying campaign and create a safe environment for children.
Please consider a gift to the Rotary Foundation Annual Fund.  If you would like to make a tax-deductible contribution, please mail your check to the Ellsworth Rotary Club, P.O. Box 741, Ellsworth, Maine 04605.

Dave Wells did a presentation of Prosthetics. Since 2015 our club has donated and delivered 575 wheelchairs to polio victims in the Dominican Republic, Panama and Belize. For the incoming year we plan to raise money for nine prosthetic leg sockets. We have applied for a district grant and will have our annual pancake breakfast in September during autumn gold weekend to raise the funds for the project.
