On Tuesday, May 5th at 6 PM, our club had a virtual meeting over the telephone and internet via Zoom.

Checking In/Happy Dollars: Jo Cooper started the meeting by asking each person to give a recap of how they were doing.  We heard from Ashley Johnson, Carl Lusby, Dan Frye, Marian Wells, Scott Kimball, Jodie Cushing, Iris Simon, Allegra Pellerano, Gene Pellerano, Clyde Cushing, Pam Cushing, JoAnn Brown, Jim Vickers, Rod Fox, Julie and Tony Bouchard, Jane Langley Dave Wells, Tracy Shaffer, Lincoln and Debbie Ehrlenbach, Fred Beyer and Alicia Johnson.
 
All Happy Dollars goes towards Everybody Eats this quarter.  Don’t forget about Polio Plus!
Rotary Business:
  1. The next Blood Drive at Elks Lodge will be on Tuesday, May 12th . An email will be sent out to everyone about volunteering.
  2. Tracy Shaffer shared the Loaves and Food Pantry are looking for volunteers to help. Please contact Janis O'Brien at 802-777-8121.
  3. Jo reminded everyone to please reach out and contact any fellow Rotarian to stay in touch with those who have not been part of the weekly Zoom meetings.
Guest Speaker: Guest speakers were John Ronan, CEO of Northern Light hospitals Blue Hill and Maine Coast. He was joined by Kristin Cyr who is the incident commander for Maine Coast for COVID 19 and she is the Vice-President of Nursing and Patient Care Services for Maine Coast and Blue Hill Hospitals.
 
They gave an update of how the area hospitals are responding to the coronavirus.  They are taking steps to ensure the safety of their staff and patients in anticipation of the spread of this disease. There are visiting restrictions and those who do enter the hospitals must wear a mask.
 
If you have symptoms of Novel (New) Coronavirus (COVID-19) please call 844-489-1822 and complete a phone screening to determine next steps.
