Rotary Club Dues: Marian Wells will be sending out notices of club dues. They are due by June 30th.
 
Rotary Auction THANK YOU – The event was a huge success! Thank you all for helping!  We raised $130,000! Debbie thanked Peter for co-chairing the event and organizing since last year. Debbie thanked Ashley for helping with public relations and marketing for the event. 
 
Polio Cups: Reminder to donate to Polio! For every $1 donated, 7 children are vaccinated.
 
HCTC Breakfast: May 23rd prepare breakfast at HCTC 8:30am to 9:30am
 
May 28th Rotary Meeting will be held at Woodlawn Museum. Please your dinner with you.

Rotary Blood Drives are the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month at the Elks Lodge in Ellsworth. Please sign up to help. Shifts are from 11:00am to 2:00pm and 2:00pm to 5:00pm.
 
RYLA – This September. Looking for candidates to attend ages 18-35.  Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) is an intensive leadership experience organized by Rotary clubs and districts where you develop your skills as a leader while having fun and making connections.
 
Rotary Blueberry Pancake Breakfast – Jodie Cushing is starting a committee for this year’s pancake breakfast set for August 3rd. Please contact her if you are interested in helping.

Happy Dollars: 4th Quarter Happy Dollars will go towards: Local D.A.R.E Program. Taught by highly trained law enforcement officers, D.A.R.E. Education Programs deliver science/evidence-based curricula that teach students good decision-making skills that will help them lead safe and healthy lives and cope with high risk circumstances including drugs, alcohol, violence, bullying, and internet safety.

Guest Speaker: This week’s guest speaker was Art Worster. He is currently the President of Hancock County NST, a 501(c)3 dedicated to resettling refugee families in Hancock County from those countries in the world included in our Humanitarian Parole program.  In 2023, with our partner WelcomeNST, we successfully resettled two Ukrainian families in Bar Harbor.  They are both active parts of the Hancock County community.
