On Tuesday, May 12th at 6 PM, our club had a virtual meeting over the telephone and internet via Zoom. 
 
Invocation was read by Jo Cooper.
 
The pledge was led by Carl Lusby, Ashley Johnson took notes and Tony and Julie Bouchard took attendance.

Checking In/Happy Dollars: Jo Cooper started the meeting by asking each person to give a recap of how they were doing.  We heard from Ashley Johnson, Allegra Pellerano, Clyde Cushing, Pam Cushing, Carl Lusby, Scott Kimball, Jodie Cushing, Julie and Tony Bouchard, Iris Simon, Rhonda Parker, Dave Wheaton, Gene  and Laura Pellerano, Marian and Dave Wells, Tracy Shaffer, Rod Fox, Dan Frye, Lincoln and Debbie Ehrlenbach, Fred Beyer.
All Happy Dollars goes towards Everybody Eats this quarter.  Don’t forget about Polio Plus!
 
Rotary Business:
  1. The Blood Drive at Elks Lodge was today, Tuesday, May 12th . It went well and thank you to Dan Frye, Jack Frost and Debbie & Lincoln Ehrlenbach for volunteering! The next blood drive will be May 26th. An email will be sent out to everyone about volunteering.
  2. Membership Update: Marian Wells reported that we will be inducting two individuals on May 26th via Zoom. She also encourages all Rotarians to bring a guest to any future Zoom meetings.
  3. Jo reminded everyone to please reach out and contact any fellow Rotarian to stay in touch with those who have not been part of the weekly Zoom meetings.
Guest Speaker: This week’s guest speaker was Paul Pangburn. He is a Rotarian and the current President Elect of the Ellsworth Noontime Club. Paul is the owner of Gibson Financials in Ellsworth, a fee-only financial planning and investment advisory firm. He has served on the board of Friends in Action for many years. Paul is a big advocate for volunteering and giving back to the community.
 
Paul spoke about the Student Mentoring Program his club provides throughout the year at Ellsworth High School.
