On Tuesday, May 11th at 6 PM, our club had a virtual meeting over the telephone and internet via Zoom.  President Laura Pellerano started the meeting.
Invocation was read by Gene Pellerano.
 
The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Gene Pellerano and Tony and Julie Bouchard took attendance.

  1. BIKE RODEO:
We are happy to announce we are able to bring back our Bike Rodeo! The event will be Saturday, May 22,2021. We will be meeting at EEMS, Ellsworth Elementary Middle School, around 8:30am for set up. The rodeo goes until noonish. We are hoping for 6-7 volunteers for this event. Please email me to let me know if you are able to attend this event.
 
  1.  COVID VACCINE CLINIC:
We are teaming up with the noon time club to help Northern Light in their COVID vaccine clinic. This event will also take place Saturday, May 22,2021. This event is located in the new vaccine clinic next to Shaws on High Street, the old Family Dollar Store. Please reach out to Joanne Brown for additional information.

September 10-11,2021 - Northern Light Maine Coast Schoodic Scramble. Friday 9/10 set up and 9/11 tournament volunteers would need to be there 7amish until 5pm. Shifts can be shared! Again get in touch with Joanne Brown for more information.
 
  1. Blood Drive: Max Dietshe thanked everyone for continued help with the Blood Drives. He will send out an email to sign up for future dates. Please help if you can.
     
  2. Pizza Poll: This week was order your favorite pizza! Members ordered pizza from Pat’s Pizza, Dragon Fire, Angelos, Finelli’s and some made their own pizza!  After hearing from everyone, Pat’s Pizza had the most votes! Winners of the Two $25 gift cards to Tony Bouchard and Gene Pellerano! Congratulations!
 
Guest Speaker: Our guest speakers were JoAnn Brown, Philanthropy Officer at Northern Light Maine Coast and Blue Hill Hospitals.  She discussed fundraising during a pandemic and shared an update on the fundraising they have been doing since the pandemic began.  She shared their newest campaign, “Building the Healthcare Team of Tomorrow.” 
 
JoAnn was joined by Carol Silsby, Director of Clinical Education for the hospitals who spoke about these exciting new training/education programs at Maine Coast.
