Foundation Award: President Clyde Cushing awarded Past President Gene Pellerano the District Top Foundation award for our club during his year as President in 2021-2022.
 
Guest Speaker:  This week's guest speaker was Shannon Byers. She is the CEO/Founder of NOK finders a social enterprise that uses forensic genealogy to solve unclaimed person cases. About 3% of deaths in the US result in an unclaimed person where the family is either unaware or unable to claim the remained of their family member.
 
She did an overview of forensic genealogy and the many ways it is being used. She also shared some ways you can help address the issue of unclaimed persons that many people do not know exists. More information can be found at www.NOKfinders.com (http://www.nokfinders.com/)
