Paul Harris Recognition Ceremony:

This week’s meeting was the Annual Paul Harris Fellow Recognition Ceremony held at Chippers Restaurant in Hancock.

Club President Gene Pellerano gave the opening remarks and thanked Dave Wells and Carl Lusby for organizing the event. Gene also thanked Chip and his crew for the delicious meal.

Marian Wells recognized all Past Presidents who were present.

Lincoln Ehrlenbach explained that the Paul Harris Fellow recognition was created in 1957 in memory of Paul Harris, the founder of Rotary in 1905, as a way to show appreciation for contributions to the Rotary Foundation’s charitable and educational program. This identifies the Paul Harris Fellow as an advocate of the foundation’s goals of world peace and international understanding.

Paul Harris Fellows were awarded to Jodie Cushing, Julie Bouchard, Tony Bouchard, Tricia Quirk and Alison King at its weekly meeting held at Chippers Restaurant in Hancock.  Every Paul Harris Fellow receives a medallion and a certificate when he or she becomes a Fellow.

This award recognizes the person's contributions to their community and their vocation and their commitment to Rotary's motto of "Service Above Self." These awards are made possible by the annual donations that our club members make to the Rotary Foundation.
