4th Quarter Happy Dollars: This quarter all happy dollars will go towards Loaves
and Fishes Food Pantry.

The following individuals gave Happy Dollars: Carl, Dom, Dave, Laura, Jo, Mary,
Jack (who earned $3240 for Trek Across Maine for Lung Cancer), Gene, who said our
club has exceeded our goal of $2500, to be able to have our Rotary Club name on a room
at the new L&F site.

Rotary Business: “Imagine” is the new Rotary International theme for 2022-23,
and the new president spoke via Zoom about her choice of the theme.

Guest tonight, Emily Birdsall, president of UNE Rotoract Club. She reactivated the club
at UNE after meeting several Ellsworth Rotarians serving at the Red Cross Blood Drives.
She is researching in Ellsworth and Hancock County what disabilities look like here and
will try to connect with Ashley of Downeast Horizons and other organizations that work
with the disabled. Banners were traded and Gene also gave her a speakers mug.

Carolyn Yancey gave us a banner from the Rotary Club of Dallas (Park City, TX, where
she lives half the year) and Gene gave her one of your banners to give to that club when
she returns in the fall.

Membership Dues are due end of June: Reminder Club members voted in favor of
raising the annual dues for Fiscal/Rotary year 2022-2023 to $300 for an individual,
$350 for family and $450 for corporate membership. Bills will go out Jun 1, 2022 and
dues will be Due June 30, 2022. If you want to split the dues into two payments the
second payment will be due by December 31,2022.

Kid’s Peace: Needs help this Saturday for a golf tournament at the Lucerne golf

Ellsworth Uptown Market: July 9th and 10th, 9am to 4pm - Our club will have a table to
sell crafts, antiques and yard sale items. Please donate and help! This event is held at the
TJ Maxx Parking Lot in Ellsworth. Items we don’t sell we will donate to Goodwill. Need
items to sell, can drop off at Cushing’s house on Hillside Ave. or Rotary
meetings.

Bar Harbor Rotary Club: The club has asked for help for their annual 4th of July
Pancake Breakfast starting at 530am to 10:30 am. They can also use help for their lunch
immediately following.

Make-Ups and Community Service Hours: Please let Jodie Cushing and Marian
Wells know if you do any community service or makeups throughout the week.

Blood Drive: The Blood Drive is the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month. Max

Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry: The pantry is looking for volunteers to help out at
the Pantry. Please call them to sign up to help. They also need help to install vinyl
laminate flooring; call the pantry to offer help and for more details.

Guest Speaker: This week's guest speaker was John Lindquist, the new Executive
Director of FIA. He wants to revitalize programs and classes and needs more volunteers
for transpiration services. The major concerns of their clientele are access to food,
socialization, transportation and exercise programs.
