Fundraiser for Demeyer Field Project – May 17th – Big Cats – 5 – 7pm: A sign-up sheet for the night of the event is available at club meetings. Happy Dollars: 4th Quarter Happy Dollars will go towards: Local D.A.R.E Program. Taught by highly trained law enforcement officers, D.A.R.E. Education Programs deliver science/evidence-based curricula that teach students good decision-making skills that will help them lead safe and healthy lives and cope with high risk circumstances including drugs, alcohol, violence, bullying, and internet safety.

Guest Speaker: This week’s guest speaker was Dr. Michael George Murnik, MD. He is the vice president and senior physician executive for Northern Light Blue Hill Hospital. Dr. Murnik is responsible for clinical quality, patient experience, clinician and staff relations, community collaboration, population health, and other duties. He is passionate about primary care and caring for the local Community. Dr. Murnik became Blue Hill Hospital’s senior physician executive in October 2014.
Dr. Murnik spoke to the club about Narcan and how to safely use it on someone who is in need of help. Narcan is an Over-the-Counter treatment that can save a life in an opioid Emergency. It is a life-saving medication that can reverse an overdose from opioids—including heroin, fentanyl, and prescription opioid medications.
