Our guest speaker was Jennifer Litteral. She is a Rotarian from the Bar Harbor Club. Jennifer is the President of Coffee Hound Coffee Co. established in 2013.
On Tuesday, April 28th at 6 PM, our club had a virtual meeting over the telephone and internet via Zoom.
Invocation was sent in by Dan Frye and read for Jo Cooper.
The pledge was led by Carl Lusby, Ashley Johnson took notes and Tony and Julie Bouchard took attendance.

Checking In/Happy Dollars: Jo Cooper started the meeting by asking each person to give a recap of how they were doing. We heard from Ashley Johnson, Jodie Cushing, Dan Frye, JoAnn Brown, Allegra Pellerano, Julie and Tony Bouchard, Marian and Dave Wells, Carl Lusby, Tracy Shaffer, Clyde Cushing, Pam Cushing, Iris Simon, Gene and Laura Pellerano, Carolyn Stwertka, Rod Fox, Lincoln and Debbie Ehrlenbach, Jim Vickers Grace Cushing, Fred Beyer and Scott Kimball.
All Happy Dollars goes towards Everybody Eats this quarter.
Rotary Business:
- Blood Drive at Elks Lodge: Scott reported it went well. Dan Frye, Jack Frost and Jo Cooper all volunteered to help. A few Rotarians donated blood. Scott also mentioned it was well organized, sanitized and safe. The Red Cross will be have blood drives on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month.
- Debbie Ehrlenbach mentioned tonight would have been our HCTC night at HCTC. She will make sure students will receive their awards .
- Next week’s guest speakers will be John Ronan, CEO of Northern Light hospitals Blue Hill and Maine Coast. He will be joined by Kristin Cyr who is the incident commander for Maine Coast for COVID 19 and she is the Vice-President of Nursing and Patient Care Services for Maine Coast and Blue Hill Hospitals. We know there will be a lot of questions, so to make that manageable, please submit your questions in writing to Ashley and she will pass them on to JoAnn Brown, or submit them to JoAnn Brown.
- Marian Wells reported there will be a Zoom Membership Meeting on May 7th at 1:00pm.
- Jo reminded everyone to please reach out and contact any fellow Rotarian to stay in touch with those who have not been part of the weekly Zoom meetings.
Guest Speaker: Tonight’s guest speaker was Jennifer Litteral. She is a Rotary Member from the Bar Harbor Club. Jennifer is the President of Coffee Hound Coffee Co. established in 2013.
Jennifer is from Pennsylvania and moved to Maine 23 years ago. She has an extensive background in public policy and non-profits.
Jennifer spoke to the club about World History through Coffee. Her company has retail partners in Brewer, Bethel, Caribou, Ellsworth, Fort Kent, Presque Isle and South China.
