The Ellsworth Elementary Middle School / Rotary Bicycle Rodeo was held Saturday, May 20th and was a great success Thank you to all the Rotary volunteers who helped riders receive and fit 40 new helmets and helped riders navigate the safety course on their bicycles.
The Friends in Action Auction could benefit from additional Rotary volunteers to assist with the management side of the auction. The FIA auction will be held at the Moore Community Center on Saturday June 3rd from 5:00 – 8:30 p.m.

The Loaves and Fishes Auction will be held June 24th. In addition to the auction there will be a raffle, food and plenty of fun. Please consider attending or contributing to this major fund raising event for the food pantry. This is one of Loaves and Fishes major fund raising events and the volume of clients utilizing the pantry has never been greater so the need for funds is very high. Thank you for any support you can give this event!

The Stanwood Wildlife Sanctuary at Birdsacre thanks us for our contribution.

Hancock County Technical Center thanked us for our contribution to the Boggy Brrok 5K which benefitted their USA Skills program.

Guest Speakers / Program:
The Lamoine Consolidated School State Winning USA Skills Middle School Engineering Team shared their experiences preparing for and competing in the state USA Skills competition in Bangor. The team members… Benjamin Baldridge, Jordan Chan, Ian Frost and Teacher Advisor Miranda Engstrom then turned the tables on the members present by organizing us in teams administering a written mathematics test and then presenting an engineering challenge for each Rotary group to tackle just like the Lamoine USA Skills team had to at the state competition. Everyone had a great time and The Ellsworth Rotary Club wishes the Lamoine Middle School Engineering Team the best of luck at the national competition in Atlanta, Georgia this coming June.

Respectfully submitted by Rotarian Carl Lusby.
