Haven’s Sweet Rotary Fundraiser: Our club is partnering with Haven’s Candies in Scarborough Maine to help raise money for the club. Haven's Candies has generously agreed to donate 20% of all Ellsworth Rotary Club sales back to the Club. All orders placed between now and December 14, 2021 will qualify the club for a 20% donation. An email was sent out with more info. |

We will be staffing the Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry for the month of December. The following positions will need filling through out the month:
Client Assistance:
This person will help the clients with their shopping needs inside the retail area. Most clients are self sufficient and you be there for extra support. Times for this person are Monday and Friday 7:45am - 1:00pm and Wednesday two shifts 7:45-1pm and 2:00pm-7:00pm
Product Processor:
This persons will help restock shelves in the back and front as needed. Also break down boxes this person needs to be able to lift 50lbs. This shift is Monday, Wednesday and Friday 7:45am-1:00pm
Retail Pickup driver: This person will drive the pantry van to Hannaford and Walmart to pick up the donations. Must be able to lift 50lbs. This shift is Monday and Friday 7:45am -11:00 am.
We are staffing every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday this will include Christmas Eve and New Years Eve.
The sign up sheet will be passed around at Tuesdays meeting. If there is a particular shift or assignment you would like to claim prior to the meeting please let Jodie Cushing know.

Just some information on what to expect on Tuesday night and how to prepare.
There will be a very short business portion of the meeting.
Refreshment, there will be finger foods, wine, beer and soda supplied. If you can bake some cookies and bring some to share it would be great!
We will play several games for prizes which will tailored for the in person and the zoom contingent. Then a couple of quick in house service projects. what to bring, we need you to bring yourself and a guest if so inclined. If you have unused holiday cards which are suitable for the veterans home please bring some with you as we need a lot, there are 150 beds at the facility. Gift wrapping paper, tape and scissors. I am supplying some wrapping paper, tape and many bows & tags. Christmas cookies to share if you want.
1. Bingo, each person will select any 5 numbers from 1 to 75. We will use a bingo ball spinner to select numbers and the first 4 people who get a match on all 5 numbers they selected, will be given a prize.
2. JoAnn will do a "get to know you better" activity, think up questions like “who has seen a live lion, not in a zoo?”
3. Sweater contest, either an ugly or nice holiday sweater. We will vote!
In house service projects:
Sign holiday cards for Bangor Veterans home.
Wrap gifts for Kidspeace gift recipients or zoom members can wrap gifts at home. If you have a gift for Kidspeace and can not make it Tuesday, if you let Rebecca know she will arrange to pick it up from you.

Mark your calendars now for our Rotary meeting/Mardi Gras Party on March 1, 2022. Dress up for the costume contest! We will have beads and masks to share. (If you know you will be attending via zoom, please let JoAnn Brown know now, so we can arrange for you to pick these items up, prior to March 1st) There will be a trivia contest, jazz music, homemade king cake, and a stuffed animal parade. Everyone who brings and donates a NEW stuffed animal that evening will be entered into a prize drawing for a $15 China Hill gift certificate. All stuffed animals will be donated to Maine Coast Hospital Pediatrics.
