Program/Speaker: Harold Mayhew and Don Robinson were our guest speakers this week. They both talked about the Acadia Arena Project. Harold owns Bear Mountain Design and he is the architect for the project. Don Robinson is the person helping raise the funds for the project.

Acadia Arena is poised to become the first “Net-Zero” ice arena in North America. The Acadia Arena is part of a master plan which will include a park system with miles of multiple use mountain trails.
The arena is designed to become a regional indoor-outdoor activity center with an indoor regulation rink and an outdoor public skating rink. Other key features include a grand lobby, a raised track and fitness center which are oriented toward a wonderful long range Downeast Maine mountain vista. Other features include team rooms, food service, training and fitness center, multiple function spaces and administrative offices.
