Program/Speaker: Our speaker was Joan Phaup from the Camden Rotary Club. Joan is a writer and editor who is the Youth Exchange Coordinator for District 7790.  She is spreading the word about Rotary's short-term exchange program, which offers an easy, economical way to provide summer exchanges for our teens.

Rotary Short-Term Exchange (STEP) is a low cost program that changes lives by enabling high school students to live with host families abroad and host their oversears “match” here in Maine.
This brief exposure to another culture has tremendous impact. Participants discover a wider world and often end up studying abroad in future years. Some go to pursue international careers.
