The Rotary Club of Ellsworth met at The Grand in downtown Ellsworth for our Holiday Party. The Grand was beautifully decorated for the holidays and the staff provided holiday music and graphics for us.

Over fifty Rotarians and their guests enjoyed a cash bar and a dinner buffet from Big Cat’s Catering and Bartending. We had lots of time to mingle and chat and enjoy the atmosphere.

Club President Tracy Shaffer acted as our MC and introduced the helper Santa sent to assist with our Yankee Swap gift exchange. This year we were pleased to welcome Eddie, the Efficient Elf or Triple E, as he noted. We choose our gifts, opened them on stage, and some were exchanged!

After the gift exchange, junior elf Snowflake helped Eddie with the drawing and announcing of folks who won the lovely table centerpieces that were created by Rotarian Pam Cushing.

Finally, we settled into our seats to watch the original animated version of “The Grinch Who Stole Christmas” on the big screen with many of us singing along!

We had a very enjoyable evening. We would like to thank Nick Turner, Kim Fitch, Robin Jones, and Peter Miller from The Grand for making this such a memorable event for us.

Happy Holidays and Happy 2019 to all!

Respectfully submitted,
Charlene Churchill
