Happy Dollars Highlights: All happy dollars this quarter will go towards SkillsUSA. 
Marshall gave his 50/50 winnings and spoke about the fundraising needs for The Free Medical clinic. Someone has offered to match any contributions up to $25,000. Happy dollars were also given by Marian, Fred, Iris, Irv, Charlie, Dom, and Tracy, who noted with thanks all the assistance with David gave for the preparations for the District Governor’s visit.
 
Rotary Business: 
  1. No RYLA candidates have been identified, so please look for candidates.
  2. David Wells - Sent sign-up sheet for the  pancake breakfast Sep 22nd.  He needs 22-24 volunteers and there will be 5 grills.
  3. Clyde Cushing - Needs pies and volunteers for the Blue Hill Fair Loaves and Fishes booth.  Needs 5 pies  and 5 people volunteered to give a pie. the shifts are  2 hours  5-7pm and7-9pm
  4. Andrea Mason  - Looking for help Sept 8th looking for donations in  Bar Harbor for Auction items
  5. Gene Pellerano - Literacy Project: They are coordinating schedules with the YMCA and others so that readers can be assigned. Training for new volunteers is available.
  6. Thank you notes were received from EHS Show  Choir, Downeast Walk for Diabetes, and Camp CaPella
Program/Speaker: Jane and Jo introduced our speaker for the night - Matt Dunlop Sec of State for the star of Maine and more importantly Jo’s brother. His resume was augmented by stories from Jo about her younger brother. Matt mentioned he was a Paul Harris recipient. He touched upon 3 main topics in his talk: ranked choice voting, Real ID and voting integrity. He spent a while on the problems he faced getting the records from the commission studying voter fraud. HE was a commission member. He assured us that Maine votes are well protected and not hackable.
 
He gets asked about future episodes of Northwood Law and said that no new episodes are currently planned.
