  • Charlene Churchill gave a presentation of the duties involved as Club Secretary.
  • Wheelchair Project – Dave Wells updated that we will send 123 chairs with asst canes and walkers – 4 clubs with 22 Rotarians are participating – The trip to distribute the chairs will be February 23 thru March 4 should you wish to go.
  • Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry sign-up sheets for December were passed around.
  • SPCA Building Project sign-up sheet for Saturday, November 19 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM were passed around – more people are needed if you can attend – contact Ashley Johnson.
  • Cheryl Callnan was presented a President’s Citation  and a special “Women in Rotary” pin by President Carl in recognition of all she has done since joining the Rotary Club of Ellsworth.  Cheryl and her family are relocating to New Hampshire as she has accepted a position with a hospital in the Granite State.
Program/Speaker: Jack Frost introduced the surgeons from Frenchman Bay Orthopedics: Dr Bruce Hamilton-Dick, Dr Elaine Mau, Dr Peter Copithorne, and Dr Paul Benoit.  A brief update of progress made since our meeting a year ago was provided by Dr Hamilton Dick and then each of the four doctors explained how they arrived in Down East Maine and what keeps them here.  This is a major medical practice which we are very lucky to have right here in Ellsworth.
 
Club members enjoyed a delicious Thanksgiving Meal and the turnout was great!
