Opening Ceremonies: President Scott Kimball called the meeting to order.  Invocation by Terri Stephens and we said the Pledge of Allegiance.

Vocational Minute: Rotarian Ashley Johnson told about her own vocational journey. She studied graphic design at Central Maine Techinal College and worked many years in the field, then also got a degree in Business Administration at the University of Maine and has worked eight years at Downeast Horizons and still loves her job. She uses her graphic design background to help Rotary, friends and family.

Happy Dollars Highlights: There was a donation of $100 from a Rotarian for the cause (the ‘pack a bag’ program for the wheelchair trip this year to the Dominican Republic). Other donors: Larry Johnston, Jim Vickers, Ashley Johnson, Laurie Fogelman, Jo Cooper, Charlene Churchill, Carl Lusby, Dave Wells, Tracy Shaffer, Larry Fernald (who pointed out that we have gained 15 minutes of daylight and there are 26 days until the move the equipment to spring training for the Boston Red Sox!), Tony Bouchard, Laura Pellerano, Scott Kimball, and Marc Rich.
 
Rotary Business:
1. Winners of the THAW fund contest: Dave Wells and Jim Vickers (they each won $35 and both donated it to the THAW fund).
 
2. President Scott Kimball reminded Rotarians to be thinking about the Paul Harris Fellows awards and to make suggestions to him.
 
3. Ashley Johnson asked for Rotarians to sign up for the newsletter notes.
 
4.Scott said that if anyone would like to do an invocation, they should email Rob Hemenway.
 
Program/Speaker: Jane Langley introduced the Executive Director of Northeast Historic Film in Bucksport, David S. Weiss. He told about some of the things that NE Historic Film does and showed several short films to give some background and to illustrate what they do. He said that they have a website with many archives available at OldFilm.org.
 
Present Scott Kimball reminded Rotarians that next week we will be honoring two students from HCTC. The meeting was adjourned at 7:13pm.
