Happy Dollars Highlights: Terri Stephens Smith was happy for the gift of a new French horn presented by her husband Marshall. Doug Kell was appreciative of a good meal, Lincoln Ehrlenbach was happy to have gone skiing with his family, Deb Ehrlenbach was happy for the meal and thanked the students, Tracy Shaffer welcomed the students and reminded us of the food drive starting next week, Scott Kimball thanks Mr. Baker and students for a great meal, Carl Lusby thanks the HCTC students and the Rotarians delivering wheelchairs in Costa Rica.
 
Rotary Business: Clyde Cushing gave us a community service update and the amount of hours donated by Rotarians on recent projects. Tracy Shaffer says the Everybody Eats volunteer schedule is looking good but there is an opening if anyone is interested.
 
We inducted two new members: Julie Bouchard is a full member and Jo Ann Brown is an associate member
 
Program:
Tracy Shaffer welcomed students, parents and Rotarians to the 3rd HCTC student recognition evening.
The students recognized were:
  • Noah Tiemann, Homeschooled, Diesel Technology, instructor Andrew Trowbridge
  • Ryan Bent, from MDIHS, Automotive, instructor Hunter Havel
  • Sam Leach, from Sumner Memorial High School, Biomedical, instructor Sarah Petroulis
After the students were introduced and received their awards, Rotarian Dave Wheaton spoke to us about how students can achieve success in today’s work environment. Dave is the Human Resources Regional Director for the East Region of Eastern Maine Healthcare System. He has a BS in Business Administration and is currently working toward his MBA at Husson University.
